WEEKI WACHEE - Weeki Wachee Springs State Park will host a "Former Mermaid Performance" on Sunday and Monday at the park, 5131 Commercial Way, Weeki Wachee.
Former mermaids will take to the water for various performances over the two days. Admission to the park, which includes Buccaneer Bay, is $13 for adults and $ 8 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Children age 5 and under are free. For information call (352) 592-5656.
Machine gun shoot
The Hernando Sportsman's Club will host a machine gun shoot from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the club on U.S. 19, 9 1/2 miles north of State Road 50. The cost is $20 per shooter. There is a $2 entrance fee for all spectators over the age of 15
BROOKSVILLE - The Monster Transmission/Chick-fil-A charity cruise in will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Chick-fil-A parking lot, 13143 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. BROOKSVILLE - The Loomis Brothers Circus will perform on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 6 at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., Brooksville. Sept. 11 ceremony
