Yard sales planned
A Yard Sale hosted by the Charles E. Murray Post American legion Auxiliary Unit 186 takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today (rain date Jan. 31) at the Post located at 12091 Cortex Blvd., Brooksville. Spaces are $10 and you will need to bring your own table. All proceeds benefit the Military Veterans, their families and the community.

Gun & Knife Show
Hernando Sportsman's Club sponsors its annual winter Gun & Knife Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St. (U.S. 41), Brooksville. The show features all types of new, used and antique firearms, knives and related accessories for sale. Admission is $6 for adults, and children 16 and under are admitted free with an adult. Bark Island is back
Well-behaved dogs and their masters are invited for a morning of playing on the beach at the Bark Island at Pine Island event, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pine Island Beach, 10840 Pine Island Drive, Spring Hill. Water bowls will be provided at two water stations. Admission is $7 for the first dog per car and $3 for each additional dog. Bring proof of current vaccinations, a leash, and your pooper-scooper.

Motor coach rally
Visitors are invited to see coaches on display, visit the vendor booths and mingle with those living onsite at the Southeast Area Family Motor Coach Association's "Rally: Cruizin' with SEA," starting Thursday and running through Feb. 4 at Hernando County Airport. Enjoy food, beverages and plenty of activities.
Admission is $7 for a one-day pass or $10 for a three-day pass. One and three-day passes include access to displays, vendors and the food court. Special Passport ticket are $124, and include access to all activities, including evening entertainment.
8 monks making peace mandala
