6-year-old left to DFS after Spring Hill pot bust

SPRING HILL -

Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant Tuesday at 3026 Marshall Ave. in Spring Hill that resulted in two arrests, the seizure of 12.7 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia, and a six-year-old child in the home left in the custody of Department of Children and Families.

The drug paraphernalia in the home indicated to detectives that marijuana was being sold.

Jeffrey Munford Jr., 26, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia for a total bond amount of $5,500.

Kandis Sampson, 23, was charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia for a total bond amount of $1,000.
