500 grams of marijuana seized

SPRING HILL - The Hernando County Sheriff's Office served six search warrants on Thursday, arresting 11 people and seizing more than 500 grams of marijuana.

Six Spring Hill residences were searched: 12347 Drysdale St., 3106 Dow Lane, 2447 Commerce Ave., 14059 Drysdale St., 2442 Ambassador Ave. and 4099 Sugarfoot Drive.

Detectives, with the assistance of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, confiscated 503.4 grams of marijuana, as well as a marijuana plant and less than a gram of hashish, cocaine and heroin.

Law enforcement also recovered nearly $7,000, six firearms and three cars.

Of the 11 individuals arrested, two were juveniles.

Jarlen Rivero, 32, was booked on charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released on $12,000 bond.

Taimy Ferran, 39, was booked on charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She was released on $11,000 bond.

Angel Gonzalez, 23, was booked on charges of possession of a structure to sell narcotics, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $15,500 bond.

Justin Battle, 26, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of paraphernalia. He is being held on $1,500 bond.

James Brown, 23, was booked on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and released on $1,000 bond.

Evan Steinhilber, 21, was booked on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $23,000 bond.

William Neff, 25, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $1,500 bond.

Teresa Brown, 44, and Gerald Patella, 54, were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and given notices to appear.

Two juveniles were apprehended, with one being booked at the jail and the other given a notice to appear in court.

Additional charges are forthcoming, according to the sheriff's office.
