SPRING HILL - The Motel 6 at 6172 Commercial Way in Spring Hill was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night, according to Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

A customer service clerk told deputies that two white males with bandanas over their faces approached the counter at 10 p.m., pointed a handgun at him, and demanded the cash register be opened.

Once the clerk opened the drawer he was ordered to the ground, according to the sheriff's office, and the two men emptied the cash register and fled.

The only description the clerk provided about the suspects is they were white males and one was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to the sheriff's office, and could not provide any further physical description.

The sheriff's office said there were no injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Chris Kraft of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office's Major Case Unit at (352) 797-3717.
