Armed robbery video released

SPRING HILL - The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help identify the suspect in Wednesday's armed robbery at K & R Gold Recyclers.

According to the sheriff's office, a suspect entered the store at 5164 Mariner Blvd. and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect fled, possibly in a car, before deputies arrived.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is identified as a male, about 5-foot,10-inches tall, possibly white or Hispanic, with dark hair. He is believed to be in his early 20s, and was last seen wearing a gray or blue shirt, beige cargo pants, a neutral color golf hat, red shoes and sunglasses.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
