Arrests made in series of vehicle burglaries in Spring Hill

Hernando County sheriffs’ deputies have arrested two people and charged them with a series of vehicle burglaries in Spring Hill.

One of them is a 16-year-old, whose name is being withheld due to his age. The other is Stephen O’Brien, 36, who was arrested on other charges including possession of methadone, grand theft of jewelry and fraudulent use of a credit card.

An investigation continues, sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies are asking anyone who might have received property from either of the suspects to contact the District 2 investigations unit at (352) 754-6830 so it can be returned to the rightful owner(s).
