BROOKSVILLE -

Jana Withers, a local artist and member of the West Coast Plein Air painters, paints in the open air Wednesday across from the courthouse in Brooksville.

Withers said painting outdoors allows artists to try out new colors, and understand how trees grow and water moves.

Painters will practice their craft around Brooksville through Friday in honor of the second annual Blueberry Festival.

The Blueberry Festival starts Saturday and runs through Sunday in downtown Brooksville and will feature arts and crafts, food, live entertainment and games. Country music singer Easton Corbin will perform in concert Saturday night.
