BROOKSVILLE - An Orlando man seen driving without his seatbelt on was later arrested on charges of failing to stop for a police officer.
According to the Brooksville Police Department, Terrance Ford, 25, was seen driving near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Broad Street without a seatbelt. When the officer turned on his lights and sirens, Ford kept driving on MLK toward Hale Avenue, where he pulled into a storage facility and an unidentified passenger jumped out and fled on foot.
Ford was arrested on charges of fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, and is being held at the Hernando County Jail on $2,000 bond. He was also written a traffic citation for the seatbelt offense, according to Brooksville Police.
