BROOKSVILLE - A Brooksville man confronted a sheriff's deputy at a 7-Eleven Tuesday, told him he had an active warrant for his arrest on a charge of property damage, then asked if he was going to be arrested.

Hebert Carl Martinez, 51, of Winter Street, is being held at the Hernando County Jail without bond.

The address where the alleged property damage occurred is his own.

Martinez is on probation under a different name - Carl Desmond - for unauthorized use of an I.D., grand theft, and fraud.
