BROOKSVILLE - Florida Highway Patrol's Tallahassee office received a call from a Brooksville man Sunday night who said his wife was in the process of being raped by several men.

Highway patrol contacted the Hernando County Sheriff's Office to respond to the call on Lost Horse Lane, and when deputies arrived they met Zane Randall Lott, 41, outside of the home.

"He advised there are three men inside raping his wife," a sheriff's office arrest report shows. "A search of his residence revealed the only occupant was a white female."

The woman told deputies she had been asleep since 7:30 p.m., denied being raped, and did not have any injuries, according to the report.

"It appears the defendant contacted law enforcement to report this alleged crime for unknown reasons," the report shows.

Lott was arrested on charges of knowingly giving false information to a law enforcement officer, and is being held at the Hernando County Jail on $500 bond.

Jail records show Lott was arrested in 2011 on charges of possession of cocaine and drug equipment, being an out-of-state fugitive, larceny, burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of marijuana and parole violation.
