Brooksville man steals 81-year-old's tricycle

BROOKSVILLE - A Weeki Wachee man believed to have stolen a senior's tricycle was arrested Tuesday night on charges of grand theft.

The victim, who is 81 years old, saw Robert Alan Parfrey Jr. riding off with his Trailmate tricycle.

The arrest affidavit shows Parfrey was arrested at 15310 Cortez Blvd., which is a 7-Eleven.

Jail records show Parfrey, 33, continued to be held on $500 bond Wednesday afternoon.

Court records show Parfrey has been convicted of numerous felony and misdemeanor charges, including attempted escape from a detention facility, grand theft auto, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, DUI with property damage and possession of a controlled substance.

Prison records show Parfrey has been incarcerated three times in the past, and was most recently released in September 2012.
