BROOKSVILLE -

Brooksville Police responded to an armed carjacking on Wednesday night in the 800 block of Peach Street.

The victim told responding officers that she was confronted by a man armed with a handgun after she got out of her teal, 2006 Buick Lucerne and walked to her front door.

According to the victim, the suspect — whom she described as a “slender black male wearing gray pants, a red shirt, a red do-rag and a red bandana over his face” — told her to hand over her car keys, phone and wallet.

The man drove off in the car, which has 22-inch chrome rims, according to a report.

The victim was not injured.
