Brian M. Collins, Branch Manager of Woodforest National Bank’s Brooksville office, has been elected to serve on the board of Pay It Forward Farm. Collins taught a series of financial literacy classes to Pay It Foward Farm members and in February, the Woodforest Brooksville Branch received the organization’s “Outstanding Community Partner” award. Collins will also bring his skills in sales and merchandising to Pay It Forward Farm to enhance the fundraising programs.

Detective Rocky Howard was promoted to the rank of sergeant in the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. Howard will serve as a supervisor in the patrol division. Howard has been employed by the sheriff’s office for eight years. He has served as a patrol deputy, field training officer, and District 2 property crimes detective.

Marilyn Pearson-Adams and Robin Schneider were appointed to the District Board of Trustees for Pasco-Hernando State College by Gov. Rick Scott. Pearson-Adams, of Brooksville, is the president of Century 21 Alliance Realty and a director with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a board member of the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board. Schneider, of Spring Hill, is marketing coordinator at Medical Center of Trinity. She previously served as the president of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central.

Will McKinnon was recently appointed as director of clinical applications at Oak Hill Hospital. McKinnon was promoted from his position as an RN in Oak Hill Hospital’s cardiovascular and intensive unit. McKinnon began his career at Oak Hill Hospital in 2001 as an LPN in the hospital’s telemetry unit. He went on to continue his nursing education and obtained an associate’s degree in nursing and an RN.

Politics in the Park takes place from 5-8 p.m. July 10 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 10470 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill.
