City Council meets Monday

BROOKSVILLE - Brooksville City Council will have a regular council meeting at 7 p.m. Monday evening at City Hall.

Council members are expected to discuss a mass transit shelter agreement with the city and Hernando County that would put a shelter in the City Hall parking lot. They are also expected to vote on a revised noise ordinance.

Fire Chief Timothy Mossgrove will present merit service awards.

The Beautification Board will give the Margaret R. Ghiotto Improvement Award to Linda Claflin for her improvements to 305 E. Liberty St., and award the winners of the best residential and commercial holiday light displays.

The agenda shows that the council will also appoint new members to various advisory boards.
