Deputies crack down on trespassing at Whitehurst Pond

BROOKSVILLE - The sheriff's office recently spent five days cracking down on trespassing at Whitehurst Pond in Royal Highlands east of U.S. 19.

The private property, located east of Commercial Way and south of Hexam Road, receives numerous complaints of people trespassing, throwing parties and driving 4 wheelers.

From Dec. 27 to Dec. 31, deputies used all terrain vehicles, 4 wheel drive vehicles and the sheriff's office helicopter to monitor the property.

The operation resulted in two arrests, seven arrest warrants and 57 trespass warnings, according to the sheriff's office, and the similar .
