Deputies: Man threw deodorant can during 'road rage' incident

SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill man was arrested last Thursday after deputies say he threw an aerosol can at another car during a road rage incident.

A Hernando County Sheriff's Office arrest report states Michael Vincent Labozzetta, 21, of Elwood Road, told a deputy he threw an Axe deodorant spray can at another car because the occupants possibly yelled profanity at him while stopped at a red light.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Mariner and Northcliffe boulevards, the report shows.

Labozzetta said the driver of the other vehicle appeared to be swerving towards his car, once traffic was moving again, deputies said.

"Which is when the decision to throw the can was made," the arresting deputy wrote. "The can struck the hood of the vehicle in the center, causing a small dent."

Labozzetta was charged with one count of throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle and one count of criminal mischief.

No one was injured by the aerosol can, the report shows.

Labozzetta was held at the Hernando County Jail on $10,500 bond, which he posted Friday, jail records show.
