BROOKSVILLE -

Anthony Williams told police he would stay in his apartment the rest of the night and stop causing a disturbance in the neighborhood.

But an hour later, he was back outside and the police had to return to the Oak Park Apartments in Brooksville and this time, they took him into custody.

It began Sunday night when Brooksville police responded to the apartment complex at 460 Hale Ave. after hearing that an intoxicated man was causing a disturbance.

Neighbors told police officers that Williams, 36, was walking around threatening people and screaming.

Police made contact with Williams, who they said was heavily intoxicated, near his apartment and the man said he would stay indoors.

But after getting a call that Williams was again causing a disturbance, police returned and transferred him to the Hernando County Jail for disorderly intoxication-breach of peace and was being held on $250 bond.
