BROOKSVILLE - Workers spent Thursday transforming the Hernando County Fairgrounds for the 63rd annual Hernando County Fair.
The fair kicks off Friday and continues through April 12.
Robin McAndrew, president of the Hernando County Fair Association, said there are plenty of new attractions for fair-goers to look forward to this year, including a wild animal exhibit, daily magic shows, hypnotists and desserts created by local blueberry farmers featuring local berries, as well as classic attractions such as the livestock show, rides, demolition derby and tractor pull.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Friday
The Hernando County Fairgrounds is located at 6436 Broad St. in Brooksville.
Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and parking is free.
