HCSO: 4 booked after home search

BROOKSVILLE - Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at 6242 Zirkels Circle in Brooksville on Tuesday, arresting four and seizing drugs and paraphernalia.

Sheriff Al Nienhuis indicated in a press release that the detectives originally received a tip that there was drug activity at the residence.

The sheriff's office removed the following from the house: 12.2 grams of methamphetamine, .89 grams of marijuana, various controlled substances and prescription tablets, drug paraphernalia, two shotguns, one sawed-off shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, ammunition and $918.

Stephanie Cheek, 27, was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of firearm/ammunition by a felon, possession of a short barrel shotgun, possession of hydromorphone, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cheek is being held on $127,000 bond.

William Rogers, 35, was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of firearm/electric weapon by a felon, possession of hydromorphone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rogers is being held on $116,000 bond.

Jonathan Peck, who fled on foot but was later apprehended, was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence. The 35-year-old was also booked on a warrant for driving with a suspended license and is being held on $32,000 bond.

David Pittman, 28, was booked on charges of possession of hydromorphone, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $6,000 bond.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is open and ongoing.
