BROOKSVILLE - It's a wrap.
The organizer of this year's Blueberry Festival asked for and received permission from county commissioners to use two mass transit buses April 12-13 to shuttle people back and forth to the event at Hernando Park.
It will not affect regular service because Hernando's mass transit, dubbed THE Bus, does not operate on the weekend.
Both buses will be "wrapped" with colorful blueberry caricatures sitting by the bus windows urging people to take them to the downtown entertainment. The buses will also display the names of the entertainers, a web site for more information and other pertinent details.
Michael Heard, president and event coordinator, said there will be continuous shuttle service from the Historical Museum to the drop-off area at N. Magnolia in the AT&T parking lot in downtown Brooksville.
The buses will run from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 12 and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 13.
