SPRING HILL — A 20-year-old Spring Hill man is in jail after he was arrested on a lewd and lascivious charge after allegedly molesting a teenage boy, deputies said.
The alleged incident occurred at the home of Randall Holdrege, of 8488 Blackstone St., according to a sheriff’s office report.
The victim — described as being 12 or older but less than 16 — told deputies he was in Holdrege’s room playing video games and lying on the same bed together when the man molested him, the report said.
Holdrege started performing a sexual act on the victim but stopped after the boy told him to stop, the report said.
Holdrege, who admitted the offense to deputies, said he was friends with the boy for several years, the report said. He told deputies he didn’t know why he did the act and was sorry.
