At Hernando Today, we pride ourselves in bringing award-winning coverage to your doorstep every day.
We work hard to deliver thoughtful, aggressive reporting, fair analysis and to demonstrate a passion for protecting your tax dollars and personal safety.
We also enjoy sharing in your victories and celebrating your diversity, faith and culture.
That commitment is as strong as ever.
You will notice some changes this week in how we package that coverage.
Starting this week, Hernando Today will publish on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. That's still the greatest frequency for a major news organization in Hernando County.
On days Hernando Today does not publish, we will run breaking news on hernandotoday.com and in either the Metro section or the front page of The Tampa Tribune.
The consolidation to three Hernando Today editions allows us to lower internal operating cost without sacrificing the quality or quantity of our coverage.
The Wednesday edition of Hernando Today still will contain news, an opinion page, business news and sports. It also will feature club news and hometown news listings.
Friday's edition will have news, opinion and sports pages, and it now will include coverage of religious events and church listings. The Out & About section still publishes on Fridays.
Sunday will continue to have a full complement of news, editorial and sports. It now will have health news, which moves from Thursday, and an expanded version of the Around Town page, which features photos and news about social clubs and nonprofit organizations.
We value our relationship with you and invite your input as we continue to cover your communities.
