SPRING HILL - The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is looking for an individual involved in a road rage incident on Aug. 27 on Cortez Boulevard, west of Commercial Way.

The man, believed to be driving an older white Chevy "boxy style" car, was confronted by another driver. The unidentified driver of the Chevy shot the other man in the arm with a handgun.

Sheriff's detectives do not believe the Chevy driver is the "aggressor," but are hoping to speak with him to discuss the facts of the case.

He is identified as a white male between 45-55 years with thick brown and gray hair and a full gray mustache. He is believed to be about 6-foot 3-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds, and was wearing a blue baseball hat and gray t-shirt with a logo on the front during the confrontation.

Anyone with information on the car or the driver is asked to call Detective Tom Breedlove at (352) 797-3716 or email him at tbreedlove@hernandosheriff.org.
