BROOKSVILLE -

A 29-year-old lawn care worker admitted to sheriff’s deputies he was attempting to siphon gas from vehicles in the Bluffview Road area and was charged with loitering and prowling.

At about 6 a.m. Sunday, transient David Bradley was seen walking along Bluffview carrying two gas cans and approaching vehicles.

Deputies stopped and approached Bradley, who agreed to a search. They found a black plastic siphoning hose in his left front shorts pocket and he admitted he was attempting to siphon gasoline. Bradley told deputies he hid himself along the side of a house when passing vehicles approached.

Deputies found the gas cans a few feet away from one of the houses.
