BROOKSVILLE — A 21-year-old Ocala man is accused of using a stolen gun to fire shots into the air near Oak Park Apartments on Tuesday morning.
Jac’Quavyn Spikes was arrested by Brooksville police and charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle and possession of stolen property, a news release says.

Brooksville police responded to an area in front of the apartments shortly before noon Tuesday, the release said.
Witnesses said someone fired shots in the air, then left in a green sedan that officers later located near Cortez Boulevard and South Main Street, the release states.
Police found Spikes and Stokes in the car; the gun was found later, at 44 Shady Oak Villas Circle, the release says.
A records check showed the .40-caliber automatic handgun was stolen during a vehicle robbery in Fort Lauderdale, the release says.
Spikes was being held at the Hernando County jail with bail at $20,000, while Stokes was held at the jail with bail at $15,000.
