Man accused of selling drugs

BROOKSVILLE - A 30-year-old Zephyrhills man was arrested Thursday night after being found with crack cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs, officials say.

Hernando County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the intersection of Orlando Avenue and Naples Street at about 10:30 p.m. after receiving complaints a man was selling drugs out of his vehicle.

A pat-down of John Stewart revealed 10 oxycodone tablets, 4.1 grams of marijuana and 7.9 grams of cocaine, deputies reported.

Stewart was arrested on charges of cocaine and marijuana distribution and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was being held on $15,000 bail.

Court records show Stewart has been convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license in Hernando County.
