BROOKSVILLE - A Brooksville man continued to be held on $650 bond Tuesday on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer.

According to an arrest affidavit, law enforcement saw Donald W. Hammond, 39, drunk near his home at 9886 Lake Drive and behaving in an "extremely belligerent" and "agitated state."

Law enforcement was in the area on another investigation. Hammond continued drinking a Natural Ice while talking with deputies, the affidavit shows.

When Hammond was placed under arrest, he refused to stand up, continued drinking and threatened a deputy, according to the sheriff's office.
