BROOKSVILLE — A 31-year-old local man was accused of armed robbery in a June 1 attack in a Wal-Mart parking lot, police report.
Brooksville officers that day reported a woman was robbed at knife-point and her purse was stolen at the store at 7305 S. Broad St.
With help from witnesses and social media sites, Brooksville police said, they identified Aurelio Gonzalez, 31, as the primary suspect.
During a two-month investigation detectives found evidence they maintain links Gonzalez to the crime.
A warrant for his arrest was issued Thursday.
Gonzalez, who lives off Glenwood Street, was apprehended at his residence without incident and was being held at the Hernando County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000.
