Man in fatal motorcycle crash identified

A Citrus County man who died Wednesday evening after colliding on his motorcycle with a Ford Crown Victoria turning onto S.R. 50 from Cammie Street has been identified as Adam Halcomb, 30, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

His passenger, Tamsa Ann Abney, 33, also of Citrus County, remains in serious condition. Following the collision, the motorcycle crossed over the grassy median, stopping in the eastbound left turn lane on S.R. 50.

Both Halcomb and Abney were thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the median. Halcomb was airlifted to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he later died from his injuries.

Halcomb was not wearing a helmet, but Abney was, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.
