A Spring Hill man faces aggravated assault charges after police say he pointed an assault rifle at two people in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Brooksville on Sunday.

Bradley Cordara Jermaine Mobley, 22, was arguing with his girlfriend in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 7305 S. Broad St., around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a release from the Brooksville Police Department.

When Mobley’s girlfriend walked away, a man and a woman approached and asked if she needed help, police said.

While they were talking to the woman, Mobley drove by and pointed a rifle at them, police said. The female victim fled inside Wal-Mart and Mobley’s girlfriend walked to a restaurant on the other side of the parking lot, police said.

The man followed Mobley’s girlfriend to make sure nothing happened to her and was confronted by Mobley, who pointed a rifle at him and told him not to get involved, police said.

Mobley was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and was being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
