Hernando deputies are searching for a man they say robbed a CVS Pharmacy Wednesday in Spring Hill.

The man entered the CVS, 12990 Cortez Blvd. with a handgun around 1:15 p.m, according to a release from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. He approached the pharmacy and demanded prescription pills, deputies said.

He then left the store on foot and headed possibly to the south, behind the store, deputies said.

Deputies are searching for a white, possibly Hispanic, male between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and weighing between 220 and 240 pounds. He had dark, short hair and was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a bright yellow reflective vest and a white dust mask.

Deputies believe the suspect had visited the store before.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Detective Brent Stent at (352) 754-6830. Or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, call Hernando County Crime Stoppers at (866) 990-8477 or visit www.hernandosheriff.org/tips.
