SPRING HILL – Two Spring Hill men were arrested early Saturday after numerous drugs were found in their car during a traffic stop, deputies said.

Scott Theodore II was driving a Honda Accord north on Commercial Way, speeding up and slowing down and swerving between lanes, according to a Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.

Theodore and his passenger, Jonas Brooks, were stopped in the area of Forest Oaks Boulevard and Harrow Road.

A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, the report states, and Scott admitted to smoking earlier in the day.

A search of the car found a bottle of Hennessey, and 17.6 grams of marijuana, 9.2 grams of cocaine, 2.0 grams of methamphetamine and 1.3 grams of hash, deputies said.

Neither men made any statements about the drugs found in the vehicle.

Theodore, 18, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of prescription drugs, possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams) and possession of drug equipment. He was released on $16,000 bail later Saturday night.

Brooks, 23, continues to be held on $31,000 bail on similar charges.

Court records show Brooks has been convicted of numerous felony charges, including assault on a law enforcement officer, battery, resisting an officer with violence, burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
