BROOKSVILLE — Thomas Malouf, owner of a property where mud bogging events were to be held, was ordered to pay $500 by the county's development department.
The fee covers administrative and court costs, according to a memorandum received Friday from the county.
Malouf was cited for failing to obtain required permits before building on the property off U.S. 98, north of Brooksville. Malouf and the promoter of a reality show called “Mud on The Barbee” were prohibited from going forward with the project last month after county officials saw evidence of construction on the site.
