New York fugitive arrested in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill man wanted in New York on charges of grand larceny, larceny and burglary was arrested Tuesday, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

Joseph Tritto, 50, was arrested at his home at 9487 Purdy St. after a New York State detective alerted the sheriff's office to his location.

Tritto was arrested on fugitive from justice charges, and booked in the Hernando County Jail. He was being on no bail.

New York plans to extradite Tritto, according to the sheriff's office. A warrants check also showed Tritto had an active warrant out of Oregon.
