Pair booked on drug charges in Brooksville

BROOKSVILLE A Tuesday afternoon traffic stop in Brooksville led to the arrests of two area men by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Driver Christopher Pavlik, 26, ran a red light, according to the arrest affidavit, and was pulled over at East Jefferson Street and Live Oak Drive. The deputy smelled marijuana as he approached the car. A pat down of Pavlik found a single Oxycodone pill the man said was his mother’s. During a pat down, a bag of marijuana fell out of passenger Edward Woods’ pants, and the an additional bag was found on the 18 year old.

Pavlik was booked on a possession of controlled substance charge on $750 bond, and Woods was booked on a marijuana possession charge on $500 bond.
