Pedestrian hit, killed by car on Northcliffe Blvd.

BROOKSVILLE An Orlando man died after being hit by a Volkswagen Jetta early Sunday morning at Northcliffe Boulevard west of Century Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened as Robbie Leanus Robinson, 25, of New Port Richey, and his passenger Sarah Ann Martiszus, 24, of Trinity, were traveling west in a Jetta at 3:30 a.m. in the outside lane on Northcliffe Boulevard, approaching Hayes Street.

Oswaldo Davila, 50, of Orlando, was standing in the outside lane in the Jetta’s path when he was struck with its left front end, according to the report.

After being struck, Davila was propelled into the grass median, where he died at the scene.

It was determined in the report that Robinson was not under the influence of alcohol.

The incident remains under investigation.
