PHSC to host two Alzheimer's seminars

BROOKSVILLE - Pasco-Hernando State College Encore Academy will host two Alzheimer's disease seminars in March on its North Campus.

The North Campus is at 11415 Ponce de Leon Blvd.

The Encore Academy is a service of PHSC that provides educational opportunities and special-interest workshops to the plus-50 community, according to the college.

The presentations include "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's Disease" 2:30-3:30 p.m. March 13 in Room A-157.

The college said an Alzheimer's Association representative will teach attendees to recognize early warning signs of the disease.

Another presentation, called "Overview of Alzheimer's Disease" will be held 2:30-3:30 p.m. March 27 in Room A-157.

A representative from the Alzheimer's Association will present an overview of the disease, answer questions from the audience and provide information on community resources at that presentation as well.
