BROOKSVILLE -

Police arrested a Bell Avenue woman early Friday morning on charges of cocaine possession and driving without a license, according to the Brooksville Police Department.

Francina Early, 39, was pulled over for an “equipment violation.”

A K-9 unit later alerted an officer that there might be drugs in the car, and a search found crack cocaine in the woman’s purse.

Early was booked at the jail on $6,000 bond.

Court records show Early was adjudicated guilty in 2010 of contributing to delinquency or dependency — a felony charge — and in 2008 of child abuse charges.
