BROOKSVILLE -

Brooksville Police arrested a man at the Broad Street Walmart Monday afternoon on charges of shoplifting and violation of probation.

Nathan Polly, 33, of Hernando, ran away from a Walmart guard who watched him conceal items and walk out of the store without paying for them, police say. Polly gave a pseudonym to responding police officers to avoid the Citrus County violation of probation warrant for a misdemeanor charge against him.

Polly is being held at the Hernando County Jail without bond.
