BROOKSVILLE Brooksville Police arrested a man walking up Broad Street on Thursday pushing a Walmart shopping cart with stolen items.

Jesse R. Beaman, 32, was spotted with multiple new electronic items in the cart, one with security bands still attached, according to a Brooksville Police Department press release.

Beaman did not have a receipt, and later said he walked out of the store without paying for the items, valued at $526.

Beaman was booked on $2,000 bond on charges of grand theft. Jail records show Beaman was arrested in July of 2012 on charges of stalking and resisting an officer, in August of 2012 on charges of larceny, trespassing, stalking and resisting an officer. This year, Beaman has been arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer, and in February on contempt of court charges.
