Public meeting slated for Regency Oaks road project

Published:

SPRING HILL - Anyone with questions or concerns about the road project at U.S. 19 and Breakwater Boulevard can attend an upcoming public information meeting.

The county is planning improvements to that intersection, which is the entrance to the Regency Oaks subdivision from U.S. 19.

The improvement project includes replacement of the grass median on Breakwater Boulevard, between Exultant Drive and U.S. 19, with a four-foot wide concrete traffic separator.

Also planned is the addition of turn lanes on Breakwater east to U.S. 19 northbound and southbound.

There also will be a right-turn lane on Berkeley Manor Boulevard west to U.S. 19 heading north.

The existing traffic signal at this intersection also will be replaced.

The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Regency Oaks Homeowners Association regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Regency Oaks Clubhouse, 4445 Breakwater Blvd., Spring Hill.

Representatives of the project engineer, Cardno/TBE, will be at the meeting to review the project plans and to answer any questions.

For more information, call James Hunt, senior project manager of transportation for Cardno/TBE, at (727) 531-3505, ext. 1593.
