BROOKSVILLE - The planning and zoning board Monday will hear a request from an applicant who wishes to open a thrift store on the north side of County Line Road, east of Cobblestone Drive.

The store would be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The applicant wants to sell and trade home décor, including art, painting, sculpture and antiques.

Also Monday, Jacobsen Property Investments, based in Safety Harbor, will ask planning members to re-approve an expired master plan for a shopping center on the northeast corner of U.S. 19 and Hexam Road.

The project never got off the ground because of the downturn in the economy and the previous approval expired.

The planning and zoning commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main St. in downtown Brooksville.
