School Board members are expected to finalize several ongoing measures during Tuesday’s meeting, which will be held 7 p.m. at the School Board office.
But before that happens, Edwin Carle, a certified Florida Supreme Court mediator in Brooksville, would like to donate a baby grand piano and flute totaling $5,600 to Challenger K8.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity in donating your Baby Grand Piano and flute to our music program,” Challenger K8 Principal Michael Maine wrote to Carle.
The school board also is being asked to consider approving a contract with IDEA Inc. to upgrade the district’s eAgenda software to support coding of board agenda items to the 2012-17 Strategic Plan and include a drop-down menu of summarized strategic focus area statements as part of the template for all board agenda items. The Strategic Plan was approved Jan. 22.
Responding to an inquiry by school board member Dianne Bonfield regarding the inability to see televised results of votes on agenda items, Williams writes that, according to the vendor, it would be extremely expensive at this point for us to pay to reprogram eAgenda so that the font sizes for the televised votes were automatically larger.
The eAgenda software upgrade, if approved, would cost $3,000 and be funded by unspent funds as part of board members’ annual operating budget.
