SPRING HILL - An early morning shooting on Tuesday led to three men being treated for non-life threatening injuries at local hospitals, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies, detectives and forensics responded to 8129 Wooden Dr. shortly after 5:40 a.m.
Later Tuesday morning, the sheriff's office said "all parties involved with the incident have been accounted for and are currently speaking with detectives."
Bob Nelson, who lives across the street from 8129 Wooden Dr., said he called 911 after one of the men involved in the dispute ran across the street, yelling for help and banging on his neighbor's door, then his own front door.
Nelson said he kept his door closed and told the man help was on the way. A short time later, Nelson said two or three patrol units showed up, and ordered the men down on the ground.
"The guy was pretty bloody," Nelson said, adding he had just finished pressure washing his porch to get rid of the blood trail. Nelson's neighbor's house still had blood droplets and a bloody hand print on the door on Tuesday morning.
"This neighborhood is relatively quiet," Nelson said. "I've lived here for 27 years, and an fortunate enough to live in a stable neighborhood."
The sheriff's office has not released the names of the injured men or any other details of the case. Hernando Today will being you more details as the story develops.
