SPRING HILL - The Pasco Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon on Glenrock Road in Spring Hill, south of County Line Road.

A man in his late 20s was shot, and is being treated for critical injuries at a Bay area hospital.

Pasco Sheriff Public Information Officer Doug Tobin said the call came in around 2:30 p.m.

Detectives have a person of interest in the case, Tobin said, and it is believed the shooter and victim knew each other. The suspected shooter had not been apprehended at press time.

"We think this is isolated," Tobin said. "We don't think an individual was chosen at random."

Tobin said deputies and major crimes personnel were on scene later Saturday afternoon.
