Soured Craigslist sale ends in arrest

Published:
BROOKSVILLE -

Brooksville Police responded to an “uncomfortable” Craigslist sale at Multiple Equipment Repair and left with Fabian Gonzalez in handcuffs.

Officers arrived to “keep the peace,” according to a news release, and smelled marijuana coming from the 30-year-old’s vehicle. When officers said they would search the car, Gonzalez, from Naples, took a bag of marijuana from the car and tried to dump it out on the ground, according to the news release.

Gonzalez struggled with law enforcement officers and was booked on marijuana possession and resisting arrest without violence. He is being held on $1,000 bond at the Hernando County Jail.
