SPRING HILL - Spring Hill Elementary School is asking all veterans to save their appetites for the Annual Veteran's Day Program breakfast buffet on Friday.

Jennifer Gompers, reading resource teacher at the school, said the breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m., and students will present the veteran's program at 9:30 a.m..

"Last year we had eggs and waffles and everything else," she said. "They had a full spread."

More than 600 students at the school will sing for the veterans, and select students from each grade will do poetry readings and report on the different branches of the military.

"Basically saying 'thank you' for their services," Gompers said. "I know a lot of parents that are veterans are coming."

The third annual event takes place at the school at 6001 Mariner Blvd.
