SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill man was arrested and charged with domestic related battery and assault Saturday night after a woman refused to have sex with him, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

James Dale Turner, 48, of 12463 Tansboro St. in Spring Hill, became threatening toward the woman since Turner wanted to have sex, and she did not, then he proceeded to call her a slew of derogatory names.

Turner then cornered her in the kitchen up against a chair, where the woman was not able to move, and felt extremely frightened by Turner, an arrest report shows.

Turner then screamed "Will you (expletive) me?" and pulled down his pants and began to masturbate, according to the arrest report. Turner never physically touched the victim; however, his actions put the woman in such fear that if she moved, that he would harm her.

The nightgown and a sworn written statement were submitted as evidence.

Turner appeared to be under the influence of alcohol when he was taken into custody, according to the report, and prior to being placed in the back of the arresting deputy's vehicle, Turner said "The (expletive) wouldn't have sex with me so I (expletive) on her."

Turner was taken to the Hernando County Jail where he was booked under domestic related battery and assault without bond. One term of his arrest includes not to have contact with the victim.

Arrest records show Turner was released from the jail 11:35 p.m. Sunday after paying $2,000 bond, then was booked again 4:15 p.m. Monday for charges yet to be determined.
