A 35-year-old Spring Hill man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Sunday night after a deputy found him unconscious in the driver’s seat at a Circle-K gas pump, deputies said.

Thor Terrence Anderson was being held on $500 bond at the Hernando County Detention Center.

A Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the Circle-K, 6227 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill, and found Anderson unconscious in the driver’s seat of a blue Honda Accord parked at a gas pump, deputies said. Holly Stevenson, the vehicle’s owner, was in the front passenger seat.

While helping Anderson out of the car the deputy noticed a grey plastic shopping bag between the driver’s seat and the console. After Stevenson gave consent to search, the deputy found a blue plastic zipper bag with trace amounts of methamphetamine inside, according to a report from the sherrif’s office. In the driver’s door compartment, the deputy found two straws, which tested positive for meth.

Anderson had been out on bond on a battery charge.
